Lake Meone Watershed
The Lake Meone Watershed consists of approximately 176 acres and is located within the Towne of Smithville in Galloway Township, New Jersey. Galloway Township is located in the northeastern corner of Atlantic County along the southern coast of New Jersey. The watershed is less than 5 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean and less than 15 miles northwest of Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Lake Meone Watershed is part of Watershed Management Area 14 (Mullica River). Lake Meone is the central feature of the Shops of Village Green and the Historic Shoppes of Smithville. Little Creek & Masons Watershed
The Little Creek Watershed encompasses nearly 20 square miles but this plan focuses on only the most downstream 6 square miles (north of Route 70). The watershed covers portions of Southampton, Medford and Lumberton townships, all within Burlington County, New Jersey. The Masons Creek Watershed is also located in Burlington County with lands within Hainesport, Lumberton, Medford and Mount Laurel. This watershed covers over 7.5 square miles. Upper Maurice River Watershed
The Upper Maurice River Watershed is approximately 56,220 acres in size and includes lands in Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland counties. Nearly 85 percent of the watershed is in the Gloucester County municipalities of Clayton, Elk, Franklin, Glassboro, Monroe and Washington. The balance of the watershed is located in Upper Pittsgrove and Pittsgrove Township in Salem County and Vineland City in Cumberland County.
