2010 Poster Contest Deadline Adjustment
The Camden County Soil Conservation District is pleased to invite your school to participate in the 2010 Conservation Poster Contest. The theme of this year’s contest is “Conservation Habits = Healthy Habitats.” The contest is designed to spread the word about the importance of conserving our natural resources and show how conservation can make a difference for all of us. Deadline for entries will be October 29, 2010.
The contest is open to all students of Camden County in grades 2 through 12. Prizes are awarded in each of four levels of competition in Camden County: Grades 2 – 3; 4 – 6; 7 – 9; and 10 – 12. Prizes of $100 for 1st Place and $50 for 2nd Place will be awarded to all contest winners in each of the four levels.
The teacher of the 1st Place Winners will be presented with $100 to use for classroom expenses. Contest winners and their teachers will be recognized at their individual school’s awards ceremonies or by an event hosted by the District. First Place winners will be submitted for statewide competition in Spring 2011 with additional awards presented at the state level. Winning entries on the State level will be honored at a separate event held by the NJACD (New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts).
